Who Was She?

Ten years ago when we moved to Lake Wynonah in Auburn, Pennsylvania, I wanted to learn more about the history of the area, especially the natives who had shared this awesome land of tranquility and beauty.

I could find little information specific to the area.

I also wondered about our lake’s namesake . . . Who was she, how did she survive, what made her laugh/ think/ cry/ sing/ strive?

Is she more of a Sister than a nameless, voiceless ancient who disappeared into history?

So, years of research began, and a book, Buttons & Beads, was created to tell the story of the land and Wynonah . . .
